We loved every minute of it. We walked around Temple Square to see all of the lights before the concert! We had such a fun night and it really got us into the Christmas spirit!

Beautiful Heartbreak - Hilary Weeks - Every Step

I just watched this video and couldn't help but put it on my blog. Stephanie Nielson is my inspiration. Her and her husband were in a helicopter accident and 80% of her body was burned. She made it through and now has a blog where she talks about her life, struggles and things she is grateful for. She has four cute little kids and is pregnant with her fifth baby! I read her blog almost every single day. She has had so much happen in her life but is always talking about everything she loves about her life and how glad she is to live it! I can't help but cry when I watch this video and get this feeling of gratitude for my life and all that I have. I really am soooo blessed and Stephanie reminds me of that every day. That is why I read her blog. Last year she posted that if we left our name and address she would send everyone a Book of Mormon, and put her testimony in it. So I did and a few months later I got it in the mail! She has a beautiful testimony and is a perfect example of learning everything we can from this life and being the best person we can be. I would have to say that she is my hero and that I truly am so grateful for all that I have and have been given. I love the Gospel, my family and my husband so much. After all isn't that what life is all about? In the end nothing else matters! Watch this video so you can get that warm, fuzzy feeling inside too!

Before we got married we went to The Sound of Music in Sundance!

Preston and I only had a few days before we had to start school so we went to St. George for our honeymoon! It was so much fun! And soooo hot.. We went swimming, ate out, shopped, and went to The Little Mermaid musical at Tuachan. I love being married we have had so much fun. We also got to go home for the fair, Preston hadn't been since before his mission so it was a special treat for him!

My favorite!!!

This was the happiest day of my life! We are so grateful to everyone who came and supported us on this wonderful day. Everything about our wedding day was perfect and so much fun! Our pictures were done by Jennie Cannon and we love them! I will post more when I get some and have time. I love being married (2 week Anniversary today:) haha Preston and I are in school now, I'm doing my student teaching in fourth grade. We are having so much fun in this new chapter of our lives!

I'm so excited to announce that I'm Engaged!!! Preston wanted to go golfing so bad and so of course I wanted to! I didn't even think it was happening and we got to the ninth hole and my ring was in the hole! Seriously it couldn't have been more perfect for me! I'm so happy in my life right now! Preston is just perfect for me. We have known each other forever and can't wait to start our lives together! This summer is so much fun and it will have a perfect ending!

We played in Sedona Arizona. It was a blast! But surprisingly cold.. It was nice to get out and play golf and made me excited for the rest of the season!

I love my team! They are so funny and always make me laugh. I'm enjoying every day I get with them before it's gone. Time goes by way too fast I can't believe I'm a Senior. Golf has been the greatest experience, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

We are going to Florida in a week for our next tournament! It's about 80 degrees there right now, and I couldn't be more excited to play in nice weather and get a little tan. My parents, Jaxson and Mandi are coming so I know it will just be a blast!

Welcome the newest member of our family Elden Watson Archibald!!! Could he be any cuter?!? He was born on 10-10-10 and is just a perfect little angel. I am so happy to have him and know Blair and Libbie are too! I just love babies... they are just so close to Heavenly Father and bring so much joy to the world!
Misti and I went to Gardiner's Village a few weekends ago and had a great time. It is such a cute place that decorates for all of the holidays. They have the cutest witches all over and cute little stores too. We had a great time!

This little girl in the pink just about took us down at least 4 times! She would just run right into us and we would lose our balance way too quickly. But luckily no one went down tonight!

We thought that Classic Skating was the perfect way to spend our Friday night! I'm 97% sure that we were the oldest ones there BUT we also had he most fun! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I definitely needed a night like this! We almost got drilled by 6 year olds all night too!

Jackie had a baby shower that same weekend so I was so glad I was able to go! This was like 4 days before she had her baby and she looks awesome in this picture! It was a lot of fun!

Skyler and Natalie were in the parade and they looked so cute! They are getting married this weekend and I am so excited for them!!!

I went to the Kenny Rodgers concert with my family and we had a blast! Kenny is old... but he is SOOOO FUNNY!! It got really cold towards the end but I'm glad I got to see him before he passes away or something... haha. Aren't my sisters so beautiful????

Mist, Marsh, Saddie and Easton went to the Motorcross show and said they had a blast! For some reason Easton thought that Jake was in the Motorcycle show and kept asking Misti which one he is!! Too bad he wasn't!!!

I had such a fun birthday so many people made it so special for me!! I woke up to my apartment decorated with happy birthday signs and then my car was covered too! My roomies are awesome. Then I went to school and Kjersti, one of my best friends that I met at school, made me the coolest card and the best trat called Cup-ookies! They are amazing. She made school so much fun. That night we went to Tepenyaki for dinner it was so much fun and so entertaining. I got to go back open presents then had friends over for cake and ice cream!!! My day couldn't have gotten any better and I always realize how many people I have in my life and how greatful I am for them all. Thank you everyone for everything:)

I can't believe I am already saying this but its my SENIOR YEAR OF GOLF.... I have such a bittersweet feeling. Time has definitely gone way too fast but, I have had some of the best times of my life during the time on the golf team. I have made lasting friends and learned so much. This year is going to be the best. I look forward to everything and am going to enjoy each and every day I get to go golf and compete (even when its snowing/raining/windy etc)! I LOVE golf and don't want to regret anything when looking back on my college career. We started out our season in Ogden at the Weber Invitational. It was a beautiful, hot day. So hot that I got a little heat stroke! I shot a 79. But my parents, Blair and Libbie, Jake and his parents Jeff and Venus all came to watch me. It was so awesome to have so much support and I am so greatful for them watching me!!! We then left on Sunday to Bozeman, Montana. We played our practice round Monday then tournament Tuesday and Wednesday. I shot 79,80. It was an amazing tournament! Last night we went to a bbq and then did a little fly fishing! What a fun experience. I love my team this year and I'm excited for everything. There are 10 girls on the team. Last week we played at Soldier Hollow and I shot my best round ever a 69! It was so much fun and I hope/plan to do it again soon:)

Bub, my dad and I went to play a beautiful course and had such a fun time!!!
Jaxson and I had such a good summer together and did so much! One of our favorite hobbies is to watch the OC over and over! I miss him and my family so much when I am at school!

Sugarland!!!

We got the opportunity to go to the Sugarland concert and I guess I didn't realize how much I loved Sugarland until she started singing and I freaked out during every song! When it comes to concerts Mist and I are two peas in a pod. We try to never go to concerts without each other cause we just know it won't be the same. The reason is that we both don't care how loud we sing or how much we dance! We like to get up, move around, clap, yell and usually end up losing our voices by the end of the night. We managed to do all of those things at Sugarland and found that Angie was a perfect addition to our concert fun! Misti and I rode down with Chandler and Angie and just had fun the whole night. I think out of all of us Chandler had the most fun, especially in the car where we all could hardly get a word in edgewise cause we had so much to say! What a great day, I hope for many more!

This was a perfect date if you ask me: Chandler, Angie, Mist and I!

Tanner and Bowin came down and invited two of my best friends Lacey and Darien! They weren't quite as into the concert as we were but still had so much fun!

I love hanging out with Mist and Ang we are constantly laughing and having fun!!! They are so cute I just love them!

I think that my Junior year has been my favorite year of college and golf for many reasons! This year our golf team got along so well and made so many memories that I won't ever forget. We had some great tournaments and played well. I really love being with my team and enjoyed all aspects of golf including the practices. These girls have become some of my best friends and always will be. My very best friend on the team was Erika and she just finished her last year of golf. I will miss her so much but know we will still be friends. I know we wouldn't have became so close if it hadn't have been for golf. One of my other really good friends Stacey is leaving on her mission next month! I will miss her too and I'm so glad to have played with her for a year. I can't believe that I only have one more year left and I don't want to take one day for granted... It has been an unforgettable experience that I wouldn't trade for the world! I have learned so much and love golf, the friends I made and the places I get to go because of it. Doesn't get better than that!

One night we went to Red Robin in California and had the funniest waiter I may have ever had. We had a new joke every time he came around and he was lovin it! These girls know how to flirt and we even got ourselves a free desert! Can't complain about that:)
Ocotillo golf course was so beautiful and one of my most favorite ones I have ever played in college golf! It was in Chandler, Arizona.

We go to this course every year at least once. This time we went for a match play and the weather was perfect. (which is rare in college tournaments). We had a blast!!! It was in San Luis Obispo, California.

The boys team came to the match play so we all had a lot of fun!

Great West Conference in Texas!!! We went to Rudy's which is a bbq place they have all over Texas but they are at gas stations. So the first time we went I was a little hesitant about how it would taste but it is great traditional bbq. I would recommend it to anyone!

Texas was about 91 degrees plus humidity... hot hot hot.

We got third at our Conference tournament and had a wonderful time! My parents were able to come watch which I was so greatful for. I love when they come to my tournaments it just makes it so much more fun. The best thing about it is they are just proud of me for being there whether I play good or bad. That is the best feeling in the world and I love the support I have gotten from my family and friends! I love golf and am so excited for my senior year of golf and I'm going to enjoy every single minute of it!!

Right after school got out three of my best friends and I headed to California for a little vacation! It was such a fun, relaxing trip. We stayed in a hotel, went to Disneyland, California Adventure, ate good food and spent a day at the beach. Couldn't have had a better time. I always feel like a giddy 5 year old at Disneyland and this time was no different. It just never gets old to me. We saw the fireworks two nights in a row which always remind me that dreams really can come true:)

Brain Cake!!

This is my friend Kjersti, she has become one of my best friends since we have started the program together and get to do our internship together! She is a wonderful partner and its been so much fun to get to know each other!

For our class we had to do a project that displayed the brain in some way. So we made a brain cake! It was a ton of fun and not as hard as we thought it would be! We baked a cake in a round bowl, cut it out in the shape of the brain and then used fondue and food coloring to display the different lobes of the brain!

So my dad emailed this story to me the other day and of course by the time I finished I was bawling my eyes out.. It is an amazing story! Some people ask me why I want to be a teacher and although there are many reasons this is just one of the many reasons I know it will, and already has changed my life...

As she stood in front of her 5th grade class on the very first day of school, she told the children an untruth. Like most teachers, she looked at her students and said that she loved them all the same. However, that was impossible, because there in the front row, slumped in his seat, was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard.

Mrs. Thompson had watched Teddy the year before and noticed that he did not play well with the other children, that his clothes were messy and that he constantly needed a bath. In addition, Teddy could be unpleasant. It got to the point where Mrs. Thompson would actually take delight in marking his papers with a broad red pen, making bold X's and then putting a big 'F' at the top of his papers.

At the school where Mrs. Thompson taught, she was required to review each child's past records and she put Teddy's off until last. However, when she reviewed his file, she was in for a surprise.

Teddy's first grade teacher wrote, 'Teddy is a bright child with a ready laugh. He does his work neatly and has good manners... he is a joy to be around..'

His second grade teacher wrote, 'Teddy is an excellent student, well liked by his classmates, but he is troubled because his mother has a terminal illness and life at home must be a struggle.'

His third grade teacher wrote, 'His mother's death has been hard on him. He tries to do his best, but his father doesn't show much interest, and his home life will soon affect him if some steps aren't taken.'

Teddy's fourth grade teacher wrote, 'Teddy is withdrawn and doesn't show much interest in school. He doesn't have many friends and he sometimes sleeps in class.'

By now, Mrs. Thompson realized the problem and she was ashamed of herself.. She felt even worse when her students brought her Christmas presents, wrapped in beautiful ribbons and bright paper, except for Teddy's. His present was clumsily wrapped in the heavy, brown paper that he got from a grocery bag. Mrs. Thompson took pains to open it in the middle of the other presents. Some of the children started to laugh when she found a rhinestone bracelet with some of the stones missing, and a bottle that was one-quarter full of perfume.. But she stifled the children's laughter when she exclaimed how pretty the bracelet was, putting it on, and dabbing some of the perfume on her wrist. Teddy Stoddard stayed after school that day just long enough to say, 'Mrs. Thompson, today you smelled just like my Mom used to.'

After the children left, she cried for at least an hour. On that very day, she quit teaching reading, writing and arithmetic. Instead, she began to teach children. Mrs. Thompson paid particular attention to Teddy. As she worked with him, his mind seemed to come alive. The more she encouraged him, the faster he responded. By the end of the year, Teddy had become one of the smartest children in the class and, despite her lie that she would love all the children the same, Teddy became one of her 'teacher's pets..'

A year later, she found a note under her door, from Teddy, telling her that she was the best teacher he ever had in his whole life.

Six years went by before she got another note from Teddy. He then wrote that he had finished high school, third in his class, and she was still the best teacher he ever had in life.

Four years after that, she got another letter, saying that while things had been tough at times, he'd stayed in school, had stuck w ith it, and would soon graduate from college with the highest of honours. He assured Mrs. Thompson that she was still the best and favorite teacher he had ever had in his whole life.

Then four more years passed and yet another letter came. This time he explained that after he got his bachelor's degree, he decided to go a little further. The letter explained that she was still the best and favorite teacher he ever had. But now his name was a little longer.... The letter was signed, Theodore F. Stoddard, MD.

The story does not end there. You see, there was yet another letter that spring. Teddy said he had met this girl and was going to be married. He explained that his father had died a couple of years ago and he was wondering if Mrs. Thompson might agree to sit at the wedding in the place that was usually reserved for the mother of the groom. Of course, Mrs. Thompson did. And guess what? She wore that bracelet, the one with several rhinestones missing. Moreover, she made sure she was wearing the perfume that Teddy remembered his mother wearing on their last Christmas together.

They hugged each other, and Dr. Stoddard whispered in Mrs. Thompson's ear, 'Thank you Mrs. Thompson for believing in me. Thank you so much for making me feel important and showing me that I could make a difference.'

Mrs. Thompson, with tears in her eyes, whispered back.. She said, 'Teddy, you have it all wrong. You were the one who taught me that I could make a difference. I didn't know how to teach until I met you.'

(For you that don't know, Teddy Stoddard is the Dr at Iowa Methodist in Des Moines that has the Stoddard Cancer Wing.)

I want to be the teacher that makes the difference in someone else's life, be that one person who believed in them enough to keep going!! I love that I choose to be a teacher, and I have been doing my three week internship this semester. I have seen small but simple acts of what makes teaching worth all the time and effort that it will take. Like a little girl that I had a chance to help with her math test to get 100% on! The next day she was walking into class with my friend Kjersti and told her; "I could hardly fall asleep last night because I was so excited that I got 100% on my math test yesterday!" How sweet is that?! It's been so much fun I have never liked school as much as I have this semester. Especially without math!! Sometimes I just need to figure things out and I think that writing them down really helps me. The thing is I'm not exactly sure what I need to figure out. I feel like I am living my life the best that I can, going to school, golfing, working on becoming a better person and living the Gospel. But I don't quite feel myself lately, I want to be but something is just a little off. I am so grateful for the things in my life and everyone that I am loved by and surrounded by. I am a stressful type person so I think way too far into the future, worry about an assignment that isn't due until March, a golf tournament that isn't until the end of April etc. but the thing is I wish I could do everything in my life perfectly... and I can't. I think that is a hard thing to accept and be okay with sometimes. But I do know one thing: When you put the Lord first in your life it will all work out. So that is exactly what I am going to do. The Lord never gives us more than we can handle and trials make us realize how strong we really are. I love the Gospel and the fact that I can be on this earth for a purpose. What an amazing feeling of what we can accomplish...

I enjoy these words of Jenkins Lloyd Jones which I clipped from a column in the Desert News some years ago... I love the opportunity that we have each and every day to be a better person and to be a little bit happier than we were the day before! It's time to just enjoy the ride and love life! I can't wait for tomorrow, its a new day and its going to be great. Yesterday one of my best friends came over and dropped off a 4 page letter and a cd made especially for me. It was a letter to apologize... I literally cried about it for at least an hour. It was one of the sweetest things I have ever read and instantly I only felt feelings of love. That made my day. How sweet are the litte things in life?! I am going to make someone feel the way that my dear friend made me feel with that simple act of service. Put the Lord first and everything will fall into place...

Misti, Angie and I have decided to do it again! We have signed up for the Salt Lake City half marathon in April! We have started training this week and can't wait to get in shape for summer. We have goals this time around though, we have a certain time we want to run it in and we plan to do it! We are also running for the Alpha 1 disease that my niece and nephew have, which always makes it so much more meaningful... I wish I could train with these two but I'll just have to look forward to having 13 wonderful miles together:) Thanks for encouraging me to do it again Misti and Angie you two rock!

Still in love after all these years!

I haven't blogged in forever!!! School definitely got in the way... But 2010 brings a new year which is when I like to improve some of the things I have been lacking and one of those would be blogging. So here I go! I have been doing a lot of fun things recently though some of them being:

For 3 of classes I have to have reflecting blogs, where we talk about how class went that week etc. So that takes up a lot of my time but I will try my best!

One of my best friends Taylore is getting married in December so Lacey and I decided to throw her a bridal shower for all of her friends here! It turned out to be so much fun and had a great turn out. We love Taylore and wanted to show her how excited we are for her. She is such a great girl and I truly wish the best for her... I am going to be in her wedding and I'm so excited! It will be my fourth wedding to be apart of, so if I have 27 before I get married then I only need 23 more of my friends to get married then I'm set. So if you look at it that way I'm getting closer;) Love you Taylore!!!

Can I say enough good about it?! I decided that this year has been the best year of golf I have ever had! It has been an absolute blast!!! Sure its hard, frustrating, a ton of work and many more. But I have just had so much fun at practice, tournaments and most of all with my team. We all seem to get along so well and always find a way to have a good time. I am so thankful that I am on the golf team and for all of the things I have learned from it. Most importantly the friendships I have been able to make. These girls will be my friends forever! There have been times when I didn't think I could laugh any harder. It has also been the best year for me scoring wise!! That always makes it more entertaining! We been playing really well as a team and have gotten second twice now and hope to do well this weekend! I love golf!

I just had my 21st birthday and I think it was quite possibly the best birthday of my life! I have the best family and friends in the whole world!!! Ever since Bianca and I saw an episode on Laguna Beach where they had a party called the "Black and White Affair" we always said we were going to have one.. So Bianca got to work along with a ton of other friends like Erika, Shanna and Taylore. We had music, dancing, and well.. the pictures tell the rest. I have to say it was a success! We had such a good turn out. I love them so much for all of the effort that EVERYONE put into it, and will never forget it. I love making memories that will last and this was definitely one of them. My parents sent me such a nice gift along with my brothers and sisters whom I love so much. I got so many nice presents from friends and can not thank them enough for being who they are, its hard to express in words how sweet they all are to me.. Enjoy!

I had so much fun this summer and was so sad to come back to school.. but it makes it that much more special when I get to come home again!! Bianca and I came home for the Fair and got to go to our singles branch again, which, yes we go to church in a Funeral Home... different I know but you get used to it! We had so much fun, and loved every minute of it. I miss my friends at home but I'm also loving school and the friends I have here. I really am so lucky for all of the loving people in my life... I know I wouldn't be where I am today without my family and friends and I am reminded of this every single day.

Elder Preston Brown sent me some pictures and I thought they were fun! He is doing so good and is so into his mission, he is loving it! And always says, "there is no other place I would rather be right now in my life!" I'm so glad he is so into his mission and is doing so good. He has been gone about 11 months and HE thinks time is flying by. Two years is a long time but I love missions and the great things that come from them, I'm so greatful for all the missionaries who are willing to give up two years of there lives to serve the Lord. What a sacrafice but one that brings so many blessings too!

Mesa Falls Half- Marathon!!!

This was our "Bed and Breakfast" with no air-conditioning, cats and dogs all over, and an old old house..

So I never thought I would say this but yesterday I ran in a half marathon with Misti and Angie!! It was in Mesa Falls and had about 550 people in it. For some crazy reason we got the idea to train all summer for this. At first I said no.. after all I hate running and before this summer have never done it. But then Misti and Angie eventually talked me into it. We thought it would be a great way to lose weight and get tone, so that was enough motivation for me! So we got a training program and began, and let me say it has not been easy! But we did it, every morning all summer we ran and ran and ran. We heard at Mesa Falls it was very hilly and let's just say I didn't realize how many there were until we were on them. We decided to get matching outfits and people completely loved them!! We were known as the ''pink ladies'' I'm so glad it is over and is definitely one more thing off my bucket list. As for the weight loss part (the reason I did it) no comment... haha oh well we had so many great talks and were even thinking about doing another one sometime! Thanks for motivating me Misti and Angie, love you girls!!!

Saddie..

My little 5 year old niece Saddie has recently been diagnosed with Alpha 1 and Wilson's disease.. It has taken a long time to figure out what is wrong with her. She went to Primary Children's Hospital last week for a liver biopsy, we are waiting for the test results to see how to treat her in the best way possible. Many of the doctors are shocked to see such a little girl with these two problems, but they say its a blessing to have found it so early. Through all of this I have come to realize how important my family is to me.. It seems like when hard trials happen in our lives we realize how blessed we are and how much we really have. I am so thankful for my family and friends. I have seen how many people will do anything to help and so many people have done so much for Saddie, presents, cards, and most importantly prayers. I love Saddie and Easton for the example of true happiness they bring into my life! I don't know what I would do without them! Stay strong Saddie everything will work out:)

My mom, Mandi and I went to the Britney Spears concert and it was a lot of fun. My parents bought Mandi a ticket for her birthday because she loves Britney! I can't say it was my moms favorite concert... she brought ear plugs and texted the whole concert! I think it was a little extreme for her but she is a trooper.
We were pretty close to the top but it was so loud that it didn't matter!

Scott and I went to a Jazz game a couple weekends ago, although we were close to the top we still had a ton of fun! We had Crown Burger before the game, which is kind of like In-and-Out!

We all went to a concert type thing in Provo! It was fun, everyone just stands and you listen to a concert, it was Joshua James. He was really good, I actually came home and bought some of his songs!

My ticket was not by Misti and Christa so I sat above them for a little while, they were singing there little hearts out! Almost as good as Celine!

I think the people behind us thought we were such good singers that they wanted to be apart of it;)

We bought our tickets in 2007, one year early and then Celine got sick and rescheduled the concert! We were so sad but it was well worth the wait! She is an amazing singer and it has been my dream forever to go watch her in Las Vegas. My dad actually made a deal with me in high school that if I would take choir all four years he would take me to it, so I tried choir my freshman year and didn't like it so much.. Oops! So I was so lucky to see her perform! It was so much fun, most of the concert I couldn't even move or talk because she was so good! It was honestly unforgettable and indescribable, I love her!!

On our way to California, thinking were going to get such a tan... We had our first golf tournament there and haven't even been able to practice yet! Monday got rained out so we went shopping! But we played Tuesday, it was a little chilly but the sun was out.

We drove to see the LA Temple on Sunday because we couldn't play in our practice round, it was so much fun! The Temple is beautiful. It was amazing to me that in the middle of LA on the top of the hill was the Temple. We got out and you could just feel that you were on sacred grounds. I loved it.

Today we had an urgent meeting for golf and we all didn't know what it was about. Our coach was not there but the head coach was, he sat us all down and told us that our coach resigned because he was just too busy and wasn't able to make enough time for us. We are all very sad and confused. But we will miss him. He taught us so much about golf and life in general. I appreciate everything he did for me.

Bianca and Hilary's birthday were in the same week so we decided to have a party!! It was so much fun, we invited everyone we knew on facebook! So many people came and I was the DJ. We borrowed some big speakers from our friend which were so loud. The police came at 10:30 and kicked everone out saying that we were to loud and had too many complaints! It was sad to stop the party, but kinda cool to say the police came! I guess that's what happens when you get older!!

So my sister Misti tagged me and I'm supposed to say 10 things that really bug me, let's see.....
1. When people talk about how easy golf is... and they have never played!
2. When boys lead you on, and act like they are so into you one minute, and the next they don't even talk to you.
3. When I don't have a remote to mute the TV during commercials.
4. Girls who are size two, eat like a queen, and have never stepped foot in the gym.
5. I agree with Misti. When someone is mad at me, or doesn't like me. It makes me sick..
6. When I am in the movie, and the person behind me kicks my chair the whole time!!
7. When I go home for the weekend to RELAX, and come to find out my dad has a list of chores for the weekend!
8. When people are not on time. I am rarely late to anything, and if I am I will call.

We also went to the Tim McGraw concert! He is a beautiful man and it was so much fun because we were in the Ampitheater so it was outside on a summer night! We sang and danced to every song! So many people came including Misti, Meagan, Colleen, my mom, Blair, Libbie, and some of Libbie's family!

Yesterday was Misti's birthday we had so much fun! We went shopping in Idaho Falls, got her cake which was chocolate with rasberry filling, and so much icing! We had a little cake party and then my mom, Misti and I played cards and talked until the wee hours of the morning. I am so lucky to have Misti as my sister, she is such a good example to me. They did this thing where you could become a "true wolverine" if you go into the middle of the three fires and kiss someone! It was entertaining to watch. We laughed so much! Two of my roomates did it! Taylore and I decided to just watch, we couldn't find cute enough guys:)

Silent Night

About a week and a half ago my grandpa had a stroke. As a result he was in the hospital for a couple of days. So we as a family had the opportunity to go to the hospital and say our goodbyes.. Well my grandpa had the sweetest nurse, we called her Nurse Emily. She was so nice to us always making sure we were doing okay and had everything we needed. My grandpa loved music. So before we left on Sunday night we decided to sing some songs to him. Our last song was "Silent Night." I know grandpa loved it. Well Nurse Emily must have heard us singing because after her 12 hour shift she went home, got her harp, and came back to then play for my grandpa for about 30 minutes. He was unconcious but after each song he would squeeze my Uncle John's hand.. After my grandpa passed away she offered to play at his funeral. How nice is she? Well, I bet you can guess what song she played, "Silent Night." The Spirit was so strong, it was beautiful, and meant so much to us all. Emily is one of the nicest people I have ever met, you can tell that she finds so much joy in helping other people. She is honestly an angel sent from heaven and will never be forgotten by any of my family. We are forever grateful for her and the joy she brought to my grandpa's life.
